An online directory that organizes all the Yutu relief efforts around the USA, Guam and NMI.
About Us
There are a lot of awesome individual relief campaigns going on right now.
We wanted to create this platform to organize those conversations so that people can see what’s happening and what areas of aid they could pour into.
The overall goal is to build structure and awareness to drive more donations into CNMI relief campaigns all over the world.
How You Can Help
Whether you’re in Saipan or not, there are several ways you can help.

What’s Happening

To begin healing, sometimes all we need is just a little shove.
.
A young boy gives his big sister a little push to get her bicycle moving as their mom watches from behind me and the camera.
.
My heart weeps for their mother. She holds her tears from being seen by her children as she speaks about how their family of 5 is now homeless.
.
Last night (October 25, 2018), their home was completely removed from its foundations by Super Typhoon Yutu.
.
At the time of the photo, in the middle of the rain, the family of 5 continue roaming the streets of#saipan in hopes to find a place to hide for the night. Because as of the same moment, all available shelters on island were also damaged and have met full capacity.
.
Still, a mother’s smile in front of her children is the only greatest strength she can provide for the time being.

Raena San Nicolas stares blankly at her in-laws’ yard in #saipan as she attempts to recollect how she got her scar.
.
While her and about 15-20 of her in-law family quietly weather out Super Typhoon #yutu , the front door suddenly burst open. She, along with members of her in-laws emmidiately rushed to shut the door. But even with more than 3 people pushing at the door, Super Typhoon Yutu’s wind forces were just too strong to control. With just another gust, the door burst wide open, knocking her in the face, one of her brothers-in-law on the head, and another on the nose.
.
Luckily, everyone in the house made it through the long night. But the memories of last night’s devastation will always remain a scar on her face.

“The two of us made it through, that’s all that matters at the moment…”
.
These words literally brought me to tears as I watched Mr. Ben Sablan Basa speak to his puppy and comforting her.
.
Behind Mr. Basa is what is left of his home. A tiny kitchen with only 3 walls and a bathroom with no roof.
.
At around 1am October 25, 2018, Mr. Basa lost his home and all his belongings in one clean sweep by Super Typhoon Yutu. At first, he thought about running to his car to seek shelter, but all his belongings, which then turned into lethal debris mixed with debris from neighbors’ roofs and houses were flying in all directions around him.
.
With fail attempt for his car, Mr. Basa grabbed his puppy and ran into the tiny 3ft by 6ft bathroom (seen behind him with green walls) where the two of them were able to hide from the debris but not from the rain and the winds.
